Deadline for private/homeschooled students residing within RSD boundaries and currently in grades 2-4 is October 31 at 5:00 p.m.
Currently enrolled RSD students in grade 2 and grade 5 do not need a referral, as they are universally screened. All other grades (Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th) must have a referral submitted by December 15 at 5:00 p.m.

We're thrilled to share that Jayna Steed, Paraeducator at Three Rivers HomeLink, has been recognized by Western Governors University (WGU) for her outstanding dedication to the school’s students and community!

It’s official! The first day of school for the 2026-27 school year will be September 1 for students in Grades 1-12 and September 3 for Kindergarteners!


Richland School District is committed to supporting students and families who may be facing food insecurity. Families experiencing a loss or reduction of income, such as from the current federal government shutdown, may now qualify for free or reduced-price school meals, even if they haven’t been eligible before.

We are very excited to announce that Richland School District has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service.

Beginning next school year, families will be responsible for providing school supplies for their students. To help streamline the school supply process for families, we worked with staff to create grade level lists instead of individual classroom lists.

Out of more than 60,000 teams worldwide, the Intelligent Mavericks finished in the top five and earned the Champion’s Finalist Award!

Eighth-grade students recently completed career interest and preference surveys, the first step in their High School and Beyond Plan. We encourage families to participate with their children as they make these important decisions for their futures.


The Richland School Board recently approved the purchase of the vacant two-story Salvation Army building at 1219 Thayer Drive. District operations staff will make renovations to the space through the fall of 2021 ahead of HomeLink students and staff moving in later in the 2021-22 school year.

Our Nutrition Services staff reached out to our elementary Future Chefs this spring and asked if they'd like to share their recipes with the community and show them working their magic in their kitchens at home.

Through the fall of 2021 Richland School District will use a screening tool to help gauge where students are in their social-emotional learning and help them grow.
